Jurors Statement
As jurors for this year’s Artwell Gallery InCamera 2 we are please to announce our selections. During the submission process we found that there was one prevalent aesthetic that spoke to us. We were amazed by how many separate artists were working in this style. We wanted to create a show where the works were not disjointed on the wall but spoke to one another, creating an experience for the viewer. The works we selected resonate to us with a sense of mysticism, questioning and wonder. Other jurors would have created an entirely different show, with a different aesthetic. The selection process is a difficult one and we saw a lot of amazing work, we found that many of the pieces we didn’t feel were right for this show spoke to us strongly and displayed a passion for photography as a expressive art form that is invaluable to maintain and foster as working and growing artists.Thank You,
